We are learn in different ways. And we all have different methods for evaluating learning. Because of this, our ministry approaches teaching from a holistic perspective as best we can. to the glory of our Creator. We believe that:
- Everyone learns best from the context of a health relationship with others
- Everyone is always learning something
- Everyone can teach someone else something
- Learning is a life-long pursuit
- Everyone moment is an opportunity to learn, especially from failures and adversity
- There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom
Our curriculum
We approach “content” from two different perspectives, formally through our LIVE curriculum, and informally through our 30 Questions.
Live
We use an incredible curriculum called LIVE. It has several components, but right now we are focusing on a 4 year model of learning. This curriculum enables us to have a long-term (yet flexible) focus, communicate better with parents, and engage our youth in solid biblical teaching. 30 Questions
We’ve implemented a system that serves as an undercurrent curriculum to all that we do. Dare2Share has put together a list of 30 theological questions that every person wrestles with at some point. These questions don’t have easy, short answers. So, far beyond having a simple response to each of these questions, we want our youth to begin to process these questions, moving towards an ability to engage in conversations with others about them. These questions are integrated into our lessons, our conversations, and our events. We encourage our parents to integrate them into their lives as well. Here are those 30 questions:
